Calculated tooth root bending stress (Lewis & AGMA formula) and surface pitting resistance (Hertzian contact stress). The helical angle (18°) was selected to achieve smooth progressive tooth engagement, lower operating acoustic noise, and balanced axial thrust loads across tapered roller bearings.
